Wednesdays @ Davenport‘s - Jeannie Tanner singing & playing piano 7:30pm=9:30pm "Chicago does not lack for engaging trumpeters, vocalists, pianists, bandleaders, songwriters and arrangers — but how many can do it all? Jeannie Tanner happens to be one… If you‘ve ever been fortunate enough to hear her pick up a horn, or sing a ballad or unveil an original song, you know that she practically exudes music.” - Howard Reich, Chicago Tribune Jeannie Tanner is an award winning composer with 8 Grammy® considered albums and 5 ASCAP composer awards. She is a vocalist, piano player, trumpeter, percussionist, songwriter and producer who performs and records her original music, a mix of pop, R&B and jazz. Jeannie’s music has been used for many TV/film projects including Single Ladies (VH1 - produced by Queen Latifah), Culinary Travels with Dave Eckert (PBS/The Travel Channel), Revenge (ABC), Real Wives of Beverly Hills (Bravo), Fox NFL Kickoff and Days of Our Lives (NBC). Her music has been featured in many Hallmark movies including A Christmas Duet, Christmas Cookies and Signed, Sealed, Delivered for Christmas; in Lifetime’s Doomsday Mom: The Lori Vallow Story; and in Dolly Parton’s Netflix series Heartstrings. Jeannie has incredible energy when performing solo (singing and playing piano). Her versatility shines through as she can sing a ballad by artists like Alicia Keys, John Legend, Norah Jones or Elton John; and then can rock out tunes by Dua Lipa, Aretha Franklin, Coldplay, Amy Winehouse, Adele or Sara Bareilles - just to name a few. She is adept at performing in any style including pop, R&B, Motown or jazz standards from the Great American Songbook.
