LYRIC WRITING FOR CABARET
Learn the basics of crafting lyrics for original songs in a fun, supportive, collaborative environment. In this online workshop, you’ll learn secrets for writing dynamic, memorable songs, and use them to create lyrics for a signature song to enhance your cabaret shows.

CHERYL COONS’s work as bookwriter/lyricist has received the Joseph Jefferson Award, the ASCAP Foundation Harold Arlen Musical Theatre Award, the Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle Award, the Theatre for the American Musical Award, and the Carbonell Award. Her work has been published by Music Theatre International and has been produced at theatres across the US and internationally. She has been a featured instructor for musical theatre for the Kennedy Center’s National Playwrights Conference, and teaches courses in musical theatre writing for the Dramatists Guild Institute.
