Hailing from New York City, Lexa Maxa has now come to call Chicago home. This unique cabaret show is inspired by Lexa’s performance background in pop music as a singer-songwriter and musical theatre. Her set is peppered with hits Come to the Cabaret, All That Jazz, Edge of Glory, Rich Girl, What Baking Can Do, Burn, and more surprises.
Emily Cox opens with “I Do, I Did, I’m Done” – Imagine getting married THREE TIMES within a year to the same man–during a pandemic!! Caterers, cancellations and calamity, Southern ‘socially-distanced’ turnouts, and ever-changing elopement dates are all set against an unpredictable Covid crisis.
Cover charge: $15 suggested donation. Reserve your place at the Fulton Street Collective Website.
This is a featured performance of Chicago Cabaret Week 2023. Chicago Cabaret Week is sponsored by WDCB 90.9fm, Illinois Arts Council, Chicago DCASE, and Choose Chicago.
