Due to COVID-19, Mayor Lori E. Lightfoot and the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events have extended the “Year of Chicago Music” to 2021 expanding its audience and strengthening its creative and cultural landscape with a focus on the south and west sides of the City. The initiative has garnered significant funding from outside partners including lead donor, the Walder Foundation, along with Chicago Community Trust, the Illinois Arts Council, the Gaylord and Dorothy Donnelley Foundation, Allstate and the Richard H. Driehaus Foundation, as well as sponsorship from the Chicago Transit Authority.

Acts Of Kindness Cabaret - A volunteer, not-for-profit association of cabaret professionals (performers and technical artists) who provide cabaret performances, largely free of charge, as fundraising events for other Chicago-area non-profit organizations.

The first Chicago Cabaret Week, a 10-day festival of shows has been cancelled due to COVID-19. CCW was a part of Music In The Key Of Chicago, its organizers included CCP, AOKC, Working In Concert, and The Cabaret Project, with sponsors Choose Chicago and WDCB.

Chicago Music Commission - An all-inclusive advocacy organization for live music in Chicago. CMC organizes the Musicians at Work forums - see their website for future dates and topics.

Chicago Paris Cabaret Connexion - An international exchange to advance the art of cabaret. Initiated by Chicago artists, the Cabaret Connexion began with a three-day conference in Paris, September 2017. Chicago hosted an 8-day conference in 2018. The third conference in Fall 2019 took a delegation of 25 US performers to three cities in France. Chicago will host again in 2021.

Chicago Symphony Orchestra's African American Network - The mission of the CSOA's African American Network is to engage Chicago's culturally rich African American community through the sharing and exchanging of unforgettable musical experiences. The AAN seeks to serve and encourage individuals and families; educators and students; musicians and composers; and churches and businesses to experience the timeless beauty of music.

Working in Concert is a nonprofit performing arts collaboration dedicated to delivering songs and stories "up close and personal". It supports Bellissima Opera, SongShop Live (workshops and concerts), Cabaret and Opera in the Classroom, and the Chicago Paris Cabaret Connexion. It is one of four coordinating bodies for Chicago Cabaret Week.
