About this event

Thanks For the Memories—Dos and Don’t’s for Entertaining in Memory Care

Sunday, October 27 at 1 PM in the Hospitality Room at 4300 North Marine Drive (Limited guest parking is available.)

This workshop will be led by CCP Vice President
, Carla Gordon, and Andy Bossov who share over fifty years of entertaining seniors in memory care, assisted living, and independent living.

Following some tips on entertaining in memory care, this will become an INTERACTIVE WORKSHOP in which all participants will be asked to sing for between two and three minutes.  Please bring music in your own key and make your selection one that would feel familiar to older listeners and especially those in memory care.

Many activities directors are looking for entertainers who understand the dos and don’t’s of memory care entertaining.  Learning how should make you more marketable in that arena.

Light refreshments will be served.

As a thank you for participating each attendee will receive a copy of
Songs You Know By Heart: A Simple Guide for Using Music in Dementia Care by Mary Sue Wilkinson

Participation is capped at 15. Your participation will be confirmed upon receipt of the $10 workshop fee.
