Hi everyone -- Since late October we have been experiencing issues with accepting online payments for member renewals and new member sign-ups. This email will bring you up to date on what's happening.
About a month ago our website host, Club Express, implemented a change to their online payment system. We were not given adequate notice of this change and we are working though a lengthier than expected process of getting CCP set up with the new system.
Who is affected?
Any member whose renewal date falls after approximately October 20 will not be able to make an online dues payment. Also affected are new members signing up to join CCP. They will be able to complete the sign-up portion, but will not be able to pay their dues online.
Will my membership lapse due to nonpayment?
A resounding NO. Not to get too technical, but Renewal and Payment are two separate functions on the website, and Renewal continues to function just fine. As Membership Director I am notified whenever a renewal is processed and whenever a new member signs up. I have created a watch list of members who are currently in what I'm calling payment limbo. We have also taken steps to make sure that the affected memberships will not lapse.
What if I get an email saying that my membership is in danger of expiring?
Notify me immediately. We cannot stop these automated emails from being sent, but as mentioned above, steps have been taken to make sure that anyone who wants to join or remain a member during this time is on a watch list.
As soon as the setup with Club Express is complete I will notify all affected members that they can log in and make their payment. I will also send an email to the entire membership letting you know that online payments are up and running again. Meanwhile you will continue to receive our member emails and notifications about upcoming events, and all benefits of being a CCP member remain available to you -- including submitting for and participating in upcoming CCP-produced shows such as Merry Measures.
