Chicago Cabaret Professionals is proud to present the 4th Annual Emerging Artist Showcase, featuring the Denise Tomasello Cabaret Scholarship.  The event will be held on Thursday, August 14 at The Epiphany Center for the Arts at 7pm.  All active members of Chicago Cabaret Professionals who have not performed their own solo cabaret show, are invited to submit.   Submissions will be reviewed by a panelist of previous finalists and Chicago area performers/music directors/actors/coaches.  Five finalists will be selected from all of the submissions based on: Stage Presence, Interpretation, Vocal Quality, Musicianship and Communication.  Finalists will be notified by May 30th and must be available to perform on Thursday, August 14 at the Emerging Artist Showcase.  Finalists will also commit to working with a mentor (chosen from our core of CCP members and Chicago area professionals) and work with Music Director Mark Burnell, at least once, on their 3-song mini set for the showcase.  Submission songs and finalist sets should be presented in a Cabaret setting and should be drawn from established composers.  One finalist will be selected by a panel of esteemed judges to be awarded the Denise Tomasello Cabaret Scholarship in the amount of $1000 - to be used to produce their first solo cabaret show within 12 months of the showcase.
