You are receiving this message from a Chicago Cabaret member...
With profound sorrow I am sharing the news of passing of The Chicago Cabaret Professionals' Treasurer, Andy Bossov.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 30 at 3 PM at Weinstein Funeral Home, 111 Skokie Blvd, Wilmette, IL, Shiva (visitation) will follow immediately at the same location and continue until 8 PM. Shiva will also be held at Weinstein from 3 PM to 8 PM on Thursday, July 31. Dress is casual and bright colors are encouraged.

In addition to holding Bachelor of Music in Music Theory and Composition from Northwestern University; Master’s and Rabbinic Ordination from HUC-JIR (NYC) and an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree.

Above all, Andy was a man of music.

He played piano from age four and contributed to the music world as an entertainer, accompanist, arranger, and teacher. He entertained in theaters to ovations and in memory units breaking through the Alzheimer's fog of his listeners. His loss to the Cabaret Community will be deep and lasting.

At the personal level, Andy and I were music partners and appeared often as The Chicago Duo. Four weeks before his passing on July 27, we did our last show and received a standing ovation for "The Music Boys." He was my closest companion and confidant. His humor, heart, and kindnesses will not easily be matched in my own lifetime.

Please sing your favorite song in his memory.

With love to all who cherish music,

Carla
