THURSDAY, JULY 14 is the French national holiday of Bastille Day. Norman's Bistro is cooking up a Cajun-inspired menu while we bring you songs inspired by our Chicago Paris connections (including our friends from the Paris Committee of Chicago Sister Cities International).

Last year we had so much fun (and the food and the ambiance and the company were grand). So we're doing it again with Claudia Hommel, Patricia Spaeth, Ava Logan, Dave DeGooyer and Barbara Smith and YOU! We're mixing it up with French songs in English, American songs in French, and accordion, guitar, ukelele--Can-can anyone?

No cover charge. Two prix-fixe special menus are offered at $39 and $55. Please make your reservations for the 6 PM or 8 PM seatings. The shows will begin at 6:30 and 8:30.

Norman's Bistro is right off of Lake Shore Drive (Oakwood or 47th Street exits) with plenty of free street parking Ellis and 43rd St.
-RSVP call or text to Norman at 312-287-4786
(Claudia welcomes questions and song requests at claudia@workinginconcert.org.)

Anita Kallen and Catherine Thomson follow up on their earlier musical celebration of the 100th anniversary of women’s voting rights with a brand new show saluting the gutsy gals who boldly defied society’s conventions - going where no woman had gone before - and achieved groundbreaking female “Firsts.” Music Director Beckie Menzie will be at the piano playing songs by Harold Arlen, Stephen Schwartz, Dolly Parton, Tom Lehrer, Kander & Ebb, and Sara Bareilles, among others. Join us for a great night of songs and stories woven together in a beautiful tapestry of tantalizing tales of courage, grace, and an unwavering determination to make lemonade from life's lemons! Details and tickets can be found here: https://skokietheatre.org/herstory.html

We debuted the show at Chicago’s Davenport’s Cabaret in March and our first audiences enthusiastically responded with standing ovations. We think you’ll love the show, too! Check out the following link to enjoy video clips from the show’s debut:
