Acts Of Kindness Cabaret‘s Hilary Ann Feldman, Adam Hibma, and Nikki Krzebiot are joined by the talented students who participated in AOKC‘s "Storytelling Through Song" masterclasses for a performance to benefit ChiArts Theatre programming. From primitive man telling stories to today‘s songs, books, programs, and films, stories have been a part of the human experience. They have taught us lessons, preserved our histories, and enriched our lives. Through stories about others, we learn about ourselves, we share laughter, and we travel together to other places and times. Have We Got a Story for You! tells tales both familiar and strange, though poets and songwriters from Shakespeare to The Beatles, and everything in between. Join us for adventure, intrigue, laughter, and a bit of happily ever after for all! Tickets $10 Student, $20 Adults https://chiarts.ludus.com

Acclaimed vocalist Robert Rodi returns to Davenport’s with another of his jazz-themed reinventions of an unlikely slice of the canon (including My Fair Lady, Man and Jazz By Jazz By Sondheim). This time it’s the wild, weird, wonderful 1980s. Joined by incomparable pianist Dave Gordon and inimitable bassist Stacy McMichael, Robert swings hard through vintage hits by Blondie, Talking Heads, R.E.M., Bonnie Tyler, Sheila E., Bon Jovi, Madonna, Peter Gabriel, and more — with a few era-appropriate surprises. Along the way, there are Robert’s wry reflections on the decade; because baby, he was there, and he remembers … well, nearly everything. $20 cover + 2-drink minimum. 21+
